SIMCA VEDETTE "Beaulieu". The Vedette featured a side valve V8 motor with a cubic capacity of 2351 c.c. producing 84 B.H.P.. Chrysler Australia assembled these vehicles in South Australia from 1958 to 1962 using a combination of imported and locally sourced parts. |

SIMCA ARONDE: Chrysler Australia assembled a "De Luxe Saloon" version ARONDE form 1958 to 1960, however the odd Elysee and Montlhery were also imported from France. The 1957 model, pictured, was in fact introduced at the end of '56 and features the unmistakable inverted grille. |

SIMCA ARONDE P60: Australia's last and most popular Simca was also available as a wagon. Based on the four door sedan with an extended roof-line and a wind-down window in the tail-gate. The vehcile, which was introduced in 1962 and discontinued in '64, was unique to Chrysler Australia. |

SIMCA VEDETTE "Versailles" were a fairly rare sight in Australia when introduced in 1956, 2 years after their debut as '55 FORD Vedettes at the Paris Motor Show. Only 10 Versailles were imported into Western Australia and only three are known to have survived in the whole country, none of which are licensed for road use. |

SIMCA 8: Italian born Fiat importer Henri-Theodore Piggozzi founded SIMCA, Sociate Industrielle de Mecanique et de Carrosserie Automobile, in 1934. Under an agreement with Fiat in '37 the first Simca 8, a rebadged 508C, rolled off the assembly line at the old "Donnet" factory by the Seine. Among the unique features of the 1100cc car was the absence of central door pillars. Very few were imported into Australia. |

SIMCA - TALBOT MATRA "Rancho" : Developed by Matra in conjunction with Chrysler France. This particular vehicle is one of only four known in Australia. It was purchased in France on the 3 March 1980 for delivery to Sydney and has been owned by the same family until November 1997. The vehicle has since been refurbished to this as new condition. |
