Australia's Wheels Magazine carried a number of SIMCA articles at a time when the marque was available in Australia.

The Aronde and Vedette were produced and sold locally but the SIMCA 1100 never made it onto the Australian market.

Wheels critics of the day were very favourable with their comments towards SIMCA.

The Aronde received acclaim for its outstanding performance and superior standard of overall appointments, which were optional in most other cars of a similar price range.

The Vedette was marketed alongside such cars as the English built Ford Zephyr and General Motors Holden.

1962 saw the demise of the Vedette in Australia with Chrysler opting to develop the American based Valiant range. It was only to be 2 years later that Chrysler would drop the SIMCA completely and source its small cars from the British Rootes Group with the introduction of Hillmans and Humbers.
